As I sit down to write this first annual report for Lodgex, I’m struck by how much this past year has been a period of building, learning, and dreaming. Setting up my first rental property has been a humbling experience to say the least. It’s a leap of faith into the unknown, where passion and purpose collide with uncertainty and endless challenge. Yet, with this step, I have found a sort of calling - to create a property management company that sets the standard for excellence in Airbnb hosting.
This year, I started with just one property - my own. But it’s been so much more than a single home. That property has become my proving ground, a laboratory for testing ideas, refining processes and strategies, and learning how to deliver an unparalleled guest experience. It’s also been a reminder of what’s possible when we approach our work with creativity, attention to detail, and the mindset of always going above and beyond.
My vision for Lodgex is bold: I want to transform this company into the gold standard of Airbnb management, not only here in Indianapolis, but across the country and maybe even someday the world. My aim is to make short-term rental management seamless for property owners while creating unforgettable experiences for guests. Along the way, we’ll work to build trust, create value, and reimagine what hospitality can look like. Then, I want to take it further and expand beyond just Airbnb, but that’s for down the road - one thing at a time.
Building this from the ground up has taught me valuable lessons in resilience, adaptability, and the power of relationships. While the path ahead is ambitious, I know that every challenge is an opportunity to grow. My commitment is to remain transparent, forward-thinking, and relentless in my pursuit of excellence.

Financial Overview
Since we are in the startup stage, our financials reflect a year of investment rather than profitability. Note that the below figures are not final, but rather are approximations.
Key figures for 2024:
Revenue: $15,000
Expenses: $37,000
Net Income: -$22,000
While operating at a loss is expected in the early stages, our focus remains on building a sustainable and profitable business in the long term. Additionally, it is important to note that no revenue was generated until the last week of June, leaving us with only half a year of revenue to report. Meanwhile, the first part of the year involved preparing the property for listing and occurred many expenses, including the carrying costs of the property.

Our goals for 2025 include:
